Our User Terms and Site Guidelines include, but are not limited to, the following:

1) All reviews posted by users are subject to review prior to approval or disapproval. In order for a review to be approved, it must follow the set of guidelines listed below:

• All user-generated content cannot contain any form of profanity or vulgarity.
• Reviews cannot contain recommendations of other individuals or entities.
• Every user may leave one review per listing. Leaving more than one review per listing by the same user will result in the disapproval of all reviews by the user and banning the user from leaving future reviews.

2) By submitting a review, you confirm that you have been a client of the individual whom you are leaving a review on and you confirm that the review is true and accurately describes your interaction with the individual.

3) Once a review has been submitted, the review, along with all its contents, "Star Rating", "Name", and "Review", cannot be modified, changed, or deleted.

4) Every user is responsible for his/her user-generated content posted on this site.

5) Honest opinions about a business's products, services, or conduct are protected under the Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA).

6) We operate in accordance with Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934, enacted as part of the Communications Decency Act of 1996.

7) By claiming an accountant profile, you affirm that you are the specified tax accountant, duly registered with the IRS, and possess a valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).

8) By creating an account with Rate My Tax Accountant, you give us permission to send you emails, including but not limited to newsletters, responses to Discussions, email notifications, and updates.

9) We strive to keep our database updated with the latest available information. In between our updates, accountants (Tax Preparers/Professionals) may have changed their information, including but not limited to their address, credentials, and tax preparer status with the IRS. We recommend that you always ask accountants for their current credentials and proof of status with the IRS before engaging in any professional relationship or transaction.
